Code of Conduct

Rules of conduct for our events

All visitors, speakers, workshop leaders, sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers at our conferences are requested to adhere to the following rules of conduct. These will be enforced by the organiser at all conferences. We ask all attendees to help make our conferences a safe and enjoyable place for all.

The short version
We want to provide a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body type, skin colour, political views or religion. We do not tolerate harassment and insult of any kind, as well as discrimination against visitors, speakers, team members and exhibitors. Sexualised language and depictions are also unwelcome at our conferences. This includes all venues, the talks, workshops and evening events at our conferences, as well as Twitter and other online media. Participants who violate these rules will be subject to sanctions by the organiser (Ebner Media Group GmbH & Co. KG), including expulsion from our conferences without the right to a refund of the admission fee.

The longer version
“Harassment” includes, but is not limited to, offensive statements about gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance such as physique, skin colour, political views, religion, sexualising displays in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, persecution, unwanted photography or recording, repeated disruption of lectures and other events, unwanted physical contact and unwanted sexual attention.

All participants admonished for such behaviour must cease it immediately. These rules of conduct also apply to sponsors, exhibitors and speakers.

If participants are found to be behaving in a harassing, offensive or discriminatory manner, the organiser is free to intervene in any way he deems appropriate. This includes admonishments up to and including expulsion from our conferences. In the event of an expulsion, there is no entitlement to a refund of the admission fee.

If you feel that you are being harassed or notice that someone else is being harassed, or if any other problems arise, please contact a team member as soon as possible, they can be quickly identified by their T-shirts (as described below).

Team members and staff of the organiser (Ebner Media Group GmbH & Co. KG) will be able to help you with any problems and find solutions to help those affected have a safe and enjoyable visit to the conference. We value your contribution to our conferences. You can recognise team members by their black T-shirt with white “STAFF” lettering on the back.
We expect all participants to abide by these rules throughout the conference, workshops and any other gatherings related to our events.
